HAPPY THANKSGIVING! MERRY CHRISTMAS! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Haven't posted in a while but I hope the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 was a good one for you.
Too many things have been happening. Thanksgiving was at my parent's house again this year. There was about 50 people there pretty much all of them being family. My dad had to go to the hospital not too long after that. Then Christmas rolled around and my brothers and I went to go visit my Granddad. He wasn't himself when we saw him. The next day I woke up to my brothers on the phone, one telling the other Granddad had passed away that very morning. It has been a very hard thing to cope with. It seemed as if everything was happening at once. It's taken until now for things to feel calmed down again. New Years was wonderful and I ushered it in with my two best friends. Adam and I have had plenty of gigs. Lucas and the Lovelys also have a show coming up in February. Time has been flying by it seems. It's already the 25 day of the year and I cannot believe it.
Now that I have you caught up on everything....
I had work and practice all this week. Thursday I traveled to Millersville for a show with Adam Taylor. I got to see lots of my friends and spend time with them after the show. I spent the night and had rehearsal with the band the next day. Adam and I headed back to Hagerstown to try and beat the "bad weather" that never came (thank goodness). Saturday morning I woke up semi-early ate some pancakes and left to pick up my friend Tara. Our friend Ben was holding a Lumberjack Competition on his property. Along with chopping wood there were three fires, a wigwam, a sweat lodge, and amazing food that I did not get to eat. I left early from there and went to meet the band at HCC for our show that night. Things went well and lots of people showed up to support. I figured that would be the end of my weekend, but it wasn't! I traveled with my Grandma, Mum, and Aunt Lisa to York, PA for my cousin's baby shower. It was wonderful seeing some family and friends and being able to celebrate the coming of her first baby!
A new week is here and I have very high hopes that it will be a good one.
I hope you enjoy yours!
-K
