21 & Counting

February 10th was my 21st birthday. I also shared this special day with my Grandma who passed away last year in January. A little after midnight my Mum and I took some shots of Apricot Brandy in her honor. We watched a slideshow of old pictures that my brother had made. It was a wonderful way to remember her. We still miss her dearly.
The big blizzard of 2010 was probably my largest "gift."I was inside for most of the day with my parents watching old time movies on the T.V. and trying to do something a little more productive than sitting on the computer all day. My mum helped by making me breakfast for lunch....YUM! Afterwards I finally went outside and started cleaning my car off so it wouldn't be such a hassle later. Two of my friends had been out snow-blowing driveways and cleaning off cars for people. I knew they had a four wheel drive vehicle so I told them to come out and eat some cake with me. Turns out my mother had already planned on more of my friends coming over! Rachel, Jesse, Tara, Spencer, Mike, Ben, and Lucas ALL came over and they didn't come empty handed. Spencer and Mike brought me a box of chocolates and a disposable camera. Tara made me Snicker Doodles. Rachel made me a necklace with a heart on it, and Jesse brought over a jug of wine. Lucas bought me an Annie Leibovitz book about some of her work. And Ben brought his snow blower so we could stomp around in the backyard a little better! It was spectacular. We hung out inside then suited up for the great outdoors. With the jug of wine in tow of course.
After everyone left I opened up the gift from my parents. AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE! It's going to take me weeks to organize all of my photographs!
But I am so thankful they got me one.
Yes, it snowed very heavily on my birthday. I was cursing the heavens throughout the day, but when it was all said and done my friends and family pulled through for me and made it a very special day.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
I love you all
